Dominica's Agriculture Minister Mathew Walter is responding to claims by former Prime Minister Edison James that his silence on the agriculture issue in Dominica demonstrates signs of incompetence, impotence and negligence.

The recent implementation of the much talked about Integrity in Public Office Act has paved the way for complaints to be brought to the Commission but with some restrictions.

50 new homes for deserving Dominicans

A Venezuelan delegation arrived in Dominica Wednesday morning to survey land for the construction of 50 new homes for deserving Dominicans.

Following a meeting in Venezuela recently the Roosevelt Skerrit Government was offered fifty Petro houses. The Minister of Lands and Housing Reginald Austrie said Government will also be discussing the possibilities of setting up a local factory to manufacture these houses for both local and regional markets. The Dominica Banana Producers Limited (DBPL) said that it has been forced to restructure its corporation.

The Discover Dominica Tourism Authority today announced that Win Air, Carib Aviation and LIAT, the regional Caribbean airline, have initiated additional non-stop service between several strategic hubs and Dominica.
